Future Leaders Program Outline

Structure:
The program focuses on 5 main areas:

1.       Tutoring and ongoing academic support.

2.       Academic advising and career guidance on the most suitable opportunities for a student.  Feedback and guidance is based on individualized assessment scores and one on one meetings with the FLP Administrator.

3.       Experiential learning opportunities. Providing opportunities for students to have real, on-the-ground, access to their career interests as well as interact with professionals and students in these fields.

4.       Social and Life Skills support through a series of workshops aimed at assisting participants in understanding the commitment it takes to succeed in university, the transition at hand as well as expectations from the world of work.

5.       Application assistance to university and selecting and applying for bursaries in their field of interest.
